Common Faults and Elimination Methods for Diesel Pump

1. Diesel fuel injection pump is not fueled.
(1) No diesel in fuel tank.
Add diesel timely.
(2) Air is mixed into the fuel system.
Loosen the fuel injection pump oil drain screw, use hand pump fuel and drain the air.
(3) Fuel filter or tubing obstruction.
Clean or replace paper filter, blow it clean after washing line.
(4) Supply pump failure, no supplying fuel.
Please refer to the feed pump repair troubleshooting methods.
(5) Plunger and barrel assembly clogged.
Dismantle the plunger and assembly for sharpening or replacement.
(6) Delivery valve seat and plunger sleeve junction surface poorly seal.
Grinding down, or replaced.
2. Diesel fuel injection pump supply fuel is not uniform.
(1) There is air in the fuel line.
Keep supplying fuel, use hand pump to eliminate air.
(2) Delivery valve spring breaks.
Replace.
(3) The delivery valve seat surface wears.
Repair or replace grinding.
(4) Plunger spring breaks.
Replace.
(5) Impurities make plunger block.
Clean.
(6) The pressure of supply fuel is too small.
Check whether inlet joint filter of supply pump and fuel filter is blocked, timely for cleaning and maintenance.
(7) Control pinion looses.
Tighten the screws up aiming at the factory mark.
3. Diesel fuel injection pump’s delivery fuel is not enough.
(1) Delivery valve and barrel assembly fuel leak.
Grinding and Replace.
(2) Inlet joint filter or fuel filter of feed pump blockage.
Clean strainer or core.
(3) Plunger coupled parts wear.
Change new plunger coupled parts.
(4) Oil pipe joint leakage.
Tighten or maintenance again
