New Energy Automobile Sales Are Surging

In this year, new energy automobile sales in the U.S. maintain hot. In the first eight months of this year, accumulative total sales of new energy automobile was 76.8 thousand, rising by 28% one year-on-year basis. In China, under the support of polices, new energy automobile sales also continue growing. In the first eight months, growth rate of output was almost close to 300%.
It is noteworthy that the policy of exempting purchase taxes on new energy automobile has been carried out since September 1. The policy releases consumer demand further and contribute to pulling market sales. It is predicted that the growth rate of new energy automobile market will be higher than that of conventional automobile market. By 2020, global new energy automobile annual sales will be expected to increase to 13 million, accounting for 13% of total sales.

In the first eight months, accumulative total sales was 76,799, increasing by 28%, compared with the same period of last year. In Europe, a research points out that by 2030, ration of new energy automobile annual sales including plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, electric car will increase sharply from 1% in 2012 to 20%.

From January to August, cumulative production of new energy automobiles in China was 31,137, growing by 328% on year-on-year basis. Among that, the production of full electric vehicles was 16,276, rising by 7 times, compared with the same period of last year. Plug-in hybrid vehicle were 6,621, increasing by almost 12 times on year-on-year basis. In term of sales, in the fist half of this year, sales of new energy automobiles in China were 20,477, growing by 2.2 times, which were higher than that of the whole year of 2013.
