Three Treatment Ways for the Faults of Fuel Injection Pump

First, Worn Fuel injection pump makes the diesel oil enter into engine oil. 
Oil temperature increases significantly accompanied with smell of diesel oil. The oil will leak from oil mouth or vent when it’s serious. For piston supply pump and diesel oil entering into engine oil, there are only two reasons: Diesel oil can directly enter into lower chamber’s lubricants of injection pump form its roller side’s clearance; Plunger matching parts of injection pump wear too much, which causes the pump leakage where the lubricants can enter into.
 
Troubleshooting: 
Open the side cover of injection pump and start engine. If there is oil spilling in the plunger, the pump plunger and barrel assembly are worn and need replacement to test the injection pump on the bench. 
Remove the supply pump and use hand pump to pump oil. It proves supply pump faulty if there is diesel fuel in the clearance of roller side of supply pump. 
Supply pump and other nipples can also be removed to tighten the hand pump and plug up the oil outlet of supply pump. 
0.4MPa of gas pressure should be introduced from its oil inlet. If there is gas emitted from roller body side, supple pump should be changed.
 
Second, oil spilling between oil outlet of injection pump and nipples of high pressure.
Incompact seal between concave type oil outlet and round convex type high pressure connector due to wear leads to oil leakage. 
 
Troubleshooting: 
A concave type of round copper pad can be added on the concave type connector of injection pump oil outlet. Correction pump factories have this kind of pads and they can be sent freely with correcting pump. This method can also be used to deal with the oil leak between injection and high pressure oil nipple, which shows very good effects by practices.
 
Third, fuel injection pump shaft fractures.
If the four fine thread bolts are not tight, loose pump and pump seat will grind during engine working. Then the clearance will be larger, which finally results in installation position shifting of fuel injection pump. When the centers of injection pump and drive shaft are different, fracture will happen.
 
Troubleshooting: 
Use proper thickness of copper lather as a pad and place it between pump and pump base to eliminate gaps. 
Thread holes should be cleaned before refitting injection pump. 
Tighten 4 pieces of retaining bolt to specified torque.
Check the concentricity of injection pump’s shaft and drive shaft, readjust if they are not conform to the standard.
It is suggested to remove pump seat together with pump at the same time.
